I have had this question come up on many occasions and I will give you some simple facts. If you are looking for the Hammond Gospel Organ Sound that is usually called the B3 sound. Do you have to purchase a B3 to get it? The short answer is no; the C3 is the same identical organ as the B3 just enclosed in a different style cabinet. This cabinet is usually called the church style cabinet. The C3 cabinet is closed around the bottom portion, which creates a design that is good for women wearing dresses to be comfortable while playing the organ; this modesty-designed cabinet is the only difference.

The Hammond model A100 sounds just like the B3, the tone-wheel type generator and the use of tube amplification is the same. The A100 has full range of pedals, percussion, and tremolo. This model has a smaller frame C style cabinet, enclosed speaker system underneath it and also adds reverb to it mix of B3 features. Originally placed in the spinet organ category for the home. The A100 has proven down through the years that it sound as good as the B3. It can ignite the worship service the same as the legendary B3.

There are several other vintage models that will give you that true B3 sound as well. We will talk about them later are you are always welcome to contact me.

Take some time out to reproduce yourself

I was sitting and meditating on my unique position as being a minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, a musician and a seller of pianos and organs. I can see ministry needs from many different aspects. I do find an apparent need for those of us in music ministry to reproduce ourselves. As being heirs to the Kingdom of God, we need to produce fruit in every area of life. I would like to recommend that you and I do the same, to take time out for some teaching responsibility to develop musicians for The Kingdom that will worship God in Spirit and in truth.

We all need money on this side and it is good to pay musicians, but money should not be our main focus when we know Jesus is our source. Dean! My name is Michael Lett a fellow servant and son of God Almighty. It is imperative that the focus of born again believers of our Lord Jesus is not on self but self sacrificed to God! We've heard the phrase it's not about us, but how often do we as individuals truly examine ourselves making sure our service is unto God rather than self-exaltation? Yea, sure time is a factor, we may say I'll share of my talent but my time is shy! Truly this is unacceptable to God! To whom much is given, much is also required! I myself have been guilty and in many instances still is guilty, but the guilt is removed once I truly examine myself and ask God to forgive me of my selfish and slothful ways! Now it's time to make a conscience effort and become instrumental in teaching/aiding others in the growth of the music ministry. I encourage you my brothers and sisters in Christ to strive for obedience, wisdom, and humility to the perfection in Christ Jesus our Lord! God Bless and keep you continuously is my prayer!

Welcome

I know my title THE DEAN of HAMMOND depicts me as a Hammond expert, and I accept that. I really would like to address church worship as a whole and its impacts in ministry. The notion of its importance over the word of God is just that , a notion. The music ministry is an enhancement to the worship service keeping in mind it is just that service. The fact of being paid as a musician is nothing new, it goes back at least to king David; the most important part is to whom the Glory is given. The Almighty God is to receive all the Glory, all the Honor and the Praise in our worship service/church service. The musician is an instrument of praise just as the piano, organ, drums etc. The difference is the musician can transcend the natural and move into the spiritual where God receives it. The worship leaders/musicians must be with one accord moving by the Holy Spirit, just as in the ministering of the written word of God by the Pastor or Preacher. Pray with one another that the anointing and peace of God fills your hearts, your minds, your rehearsals as well as your worship service. I will be talking about different topics, even that of buying and selling of piano, organ, and stage pianos and whatever questions that may arise.
THE DEAN of HAMMOND
